📐 Schematics & service manuals

All 60 manufacturer schematics from the collection are archived in this wiki (236 MB). They no longer depend on a third-party site staying up.

Why a schematic changes everything in repair

On a dead board, the schematic gives the clock tree (which crystal feeds what, through which divider), the address decoding (which pin of which decoder enables which ROM) and the breakdown of the video, sound and power stages. That is what lets you trace a missing signal back to its source instead of replacing parts at random. Cross-reference with the expected clock tables on each PCB page.

Scope of a schematic — read before using it

A schematic applies to the game and revision it names. Within one family, the general breakdown (buses, decoding, sound/video stages, power) carries over from board to board — which is what makes it a useful diagnostic tool. But component references and custom chip pinouts do not transpose between titles. Use it as a map of the logic, never as a cross-reference table.

Legal status

Manufacturer documents with no explicit licence, kept for preservation of machines out of service for over 25 years — the same position as for the cabinet manuals already archived here. Review & corrections

How this space is used

Spotted a wrong value, an outdated procedure, a chip reference that does not match your board? Say so here, with what you observed (model, board revision, serial number, measurement). Every report is cross-checked against a source before anything changes — an unverifiable correction is published as “reported by …, not cross-checked” rather than silently applied.

Reading is open to everyone; posting requires signing in with Discord. Reports from the wiki's declared reviewers are handled first; anyone else's are read too, but go through a human before anything is changed.
